Exploration – you can’t know if you will like a wine unless you taste it! Wine Xplorer offers a multitude of events exploring wine. We explore varietals, regions, tools of the trade. We explore wine tasting skills and methods. We explore wine information and its interaction with food. We will take you Spain, to Australia, to China! And we do all of this in a fun, interactive environment that encourages you to interact with your fellow enophiles!
Education – Ever stand in front of a wall of wine looking desperately for a label you recognize? Ever pick a wine because of the label? Ever look at the description of the wine on the back panel and pick a wine because it sounded like your favorite dessert? Were you disappointed? Very few of us have the opportunity, or can afford, to taste every wine out there in the market place, so the next best thing to tasting a wine, is knowing what to expect in that bottle. That is where wine education comes into the picture. The more you know about the different grapes and what makes them taste the way they do, including the region they grow in and the regulations that the wine producers have to follow, the more likely you are to pick a bottle of wine that you will love…merely from looking at the information on the front of the label!
Connection – Wine is nothing without interaction. Sure, you can enjoy a bottle of wine by yourself…..you can comment to yourself about how delicious and balanced it is and how much you really like it…but you learn the most by sharing your experience with others. You will learn to recognize more nuances in wine when you talk to another person than when you taste alone!
